iffi Kazmi - Chicago, Illinois

Meet Iffi Kazmi, a talented point guard standing at 6'2", proudly wearing number 4 for the Anthem Prep team. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Iffi brings the resilience and spirit of his city to every game. Originally from Kenya, his family has been a pillar of strength and support throughout his journey. Iffi's mother, a director of sales, and his uncle, a doctor, along with his younger brother and baby half-sister, form his close-knit support network back home.

Iffi's path to Anthem Prep was charted after a conversation with Coach Marty Haws and Mr. Yorgason, who convinced him and his family that Anthem Prep was the perfect place to grow both academically and athletically. His passion for basketball was ignited by watching legends like Stephen Curry and Kobe Bryant, and now he dreams of following in their footsteps.

With aspirations as high as the skyscrapers of his hometown, Iffi aims to play basketball at a D1 college next year and eventually progress to the professional leagues. He is particularly drawn to the competitiveness of the Big East Conference, where he believes he can truly showcase his skills at a high major level.

At Anthem Prep, Iffi is more than just a basketball player; he's part of a family environment that allows him to focus intently on his two passions: basketball and academics. Although he is yet to declare his favorite subject, the school's supportive atmosphere helps him excel in his studies while he continues to develop his game on the court.
